Madrid, 4 March 2024 – GLS Spain will be the official logistics provider of Sevilla Premier Padel P2, Málaga Premier Padel P1, Comunidad de Madrid Premier Padel P1 and Tour Finals Barcelona, in a strategic agreement to strengthen its presence in the growing world of padel.

The agreement aims to bring the tournaments and the brand closer to the public, from proximity and excellence, being a benchmark in sports experiences and services.

GLS Spain promotes and supports the practice of sport in society, as part of its corporate social responsibility, focusing its commitment on promoting a healthy lifestyle, the values of teamwork and gender equality in sport.

As part of this commitment, GLS Spain has established agreements with prominent female padel players, such as Lucía Sainz and Bea González, to support their sporting careers and promote padel as an accessible and popular activity in society. The agreement with both players goes beyond sport; it reflects shared values such as effort, excellence and commitment.

Luis Doncel, Group Area Managing Director of GLS, commented: “The strategic alliance with the tournaments marks an important milestone for us. It is an opportunity to strengthen our presence in the sporting arena and reaffirm our commitment to excellence. We are ready to push padel to new heights together, supporting the talent and passion that defines the sport”.

For his part, Joan Cuscó, President of Octagon Spain, said: “It is essential to join forces with partners like GLS Spain, which has a mission in the field of gender equality that we share and for which we work every day in our events”.

The premier padel circuit

Premier Padel is the world’s leading official professional padel circuit, founded by Qatar Sports Investments (QSI) in conjunction with the International Padel Federation (FIP) and the Professional Padel Association (PPA).

Launched in 2022 with the backing of the Professional Padel Association (PPA), more than 500 players from around the world competed in Premier Padel tournaments in its first year, played at some of the most iconic venues in the sport’s history, including the Stade Roland-Garros in Paris.

More than 110 top professional players joined Premier Padel in March 2023, through the International Padel Players Association (IPPA). In August 2023 it was announced that QSI would acquire World Padel Tour (WPT) to create a single world professional padel circuit – called Premier Padel – governed by the FIP. From 2024, Premier Padel will host 25 tournaments in 18 countries as the circuit drives the growth of the sport in new territories and across all dimensions.

As a global brand, Premier Padel also reflects the dynamic energy and passionate essence of padel with the sport embarking on an exciting new chapter on a global scale, thanks to the new unified tour.
