Scholars at Risk (SAR) monitors reports of threats to academic freedom and higher education communities worldwide, including media articles, blogs, opinion pieces and other announcements. It collects all these materials in its Academic Freedom Media Review

“Scholars at Risk (SAR) was established to respond to threats to higher education around the world. Over 25 years, SAR network members have helped thousands of scholars and documented many hundreds of attacks on higher education in over 100 countries”, said SAR Executive Director, Rob Quinn in a recent message where he expressed worries for the “unprecedented pressures” the US higher education is experiencing today.

For this reason, besides the longstanding Academic Freedom Media Review, SAR will be issuing a bi-monthly US bulletin “compiling relevant US-focused media, public writings, events, and updates”. You can subscribe here to receive it.

“In the coming weeks and months, SAR will be offering webinars and materials for network members and partners, in the US and abroad. Some will be focused on information-sharing and updates. Others will include reports from key experts, stakeholders, and emerging working groups” he continued.
