The UBEDISP® E100 series is a range of 100% active polymeric wetting and dispersant additives developed by UBE to address the growing need for efficient dispersion and stabilization of inorganic particles in solvent-borne and solvent-free printing inks and coatings. These hyperdispersants are specifically designed to ensure superior stability and dispersion of pigments, fillers, and metallic nanoparticles, which are commonly used in various industrial applications.
One of the key features of the UBEDISP® E100 series is its stabilization mechanism, which significantly reduces viscosity and prevents sedimentation even in highly pigmented formulations. This results in improved rheological properties and better overall flow behavior. As a result, the use of UBEDISP® E100 hyperdispersants leads to coatings with higher hiding power, increased color strength, and consistent quality throughout the production cycle.
The UBEDISP® E100 series is compatible with a wide range of solvent systems, including hydrocarbons, fatty esters, and solvents like 2-EHA, HDA, DPGDA, as well as MEK, IPA, and ethyl acetate. Depending on the specific application, different grades such as E101, E102, E103 and E112 are recommended to achieve optimal performance for various types of inorganic particles.
The UBEDISP® E100 series is available in several packaging options, including 180 kg drums, 450 kg IBCs, and 800 kg IBCs, as well as smaller commercial samples for ease of testing. These dispersants have a low moisture content of less than 0.5% and are stable for up to 24 months when stored in the recommended temperature range of 5–40°C.
