Hanne Kroll (b. 1980, Starnberg) is a German painter based in Leipzig. After earning a Magister in Art History, Art Education, and Psychology from the University of Augsburg (2000–2007), she pursued painting studies at the Munich Academy of Fine Arts (under Prof. Anke Doberauer) and at the Academy in Nuremberg (with Prof. Ralph Fleck). Appointed Meisterschülerin in 2013, she graduated in 2015.

Animal subjects are central to Kroll’s oeuvre. She frequently explores surface textures—whether the sheen of fish scales or the gloss of canine fur—and embraces experimentation with color, composition, neon-infused interiors, and dynamic brushwork. Landscapes, often imbued with mystery or quasi-baroque lighting, appear as evocative backdrops.

Her works blend realism and abstraction, inviting viewers into subtle, sensitively rendered depictions of the natural world. Exhibited across German galleries and featured on platforms like Artsy, Kroll’s painting remains a compelling exploration of color, texture, and narrative.
