MONTREAL (Feb. 06, 2026) â After revealing a sneak peek of Scott Pilgrim EX in yesterdayâs Nintendo Direct, developer, publisher and beat âem up masters Tribute Games (MARVEL Cosmic Invasion, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredderâs Revenge), in collaboration with Universal Products & Experiences, shared a brand-new gameplay look at their latest highly anticipated release, the co-operative adventure-brawler Scott Pilgrim EX, arriving March 3 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.
The new trailer samples the exploration driven, quest-focused journey at the center of Scott Pilgrim EX, offering an overview of the shops, challenges and boss battles youâll need to prepare for while knocking vegans, demons and robots around in the seriesâ endearing take on Toronto. Fresh gameplay also teases the secrets awaiting discovery in Scott Pilgrim EXâs richly realized, interconnected environments, making thorough exploration well worth the effort in between action-packed throwdowns with the cityâs most devious foes.

Scott Pilgrim EX introduces a sprawling version of Toronto, chock full of video game references, iconic characters from the franchise and a bevy of locales perfect for brawling across. Like other beat âem ups, your goal is to combo your enemies â from militant vegans to demons and robots â across the city, but instead of moving in a straight line and always in one direction, Scott Pilgrim EX sets you free to explore the city. Encountered NPCs can give quests with objectives located across Toronto, with gameplay-changing rewards awaiting the most hardcore of skull-knockers.
Play as a squad of brawling badasses across your adventure. Dish damage out as the seriesâ lead romantics Scott and Ramona, or flourish as an unlikely ally, like Ramonaâs evil exes Roxie Richter, Lucas Lee and Matthew Patel. The fan-favorite Robot-01 is also a playable fighter, as is one last fearsome team member still to be revealed. Each brawler has their own specific moveset inspired by their appearances across the Scott Pilgrim franchise. Four player co-op lets your crew pick their favorite fighter and build them into Torontoâs greatest protector.
In Scott Pilgrim EX, members of Torontoâs coolest band, Sex Bob-omb, are kidnapped and their instruments stolen as the city is terrorized by fiendish gangs. Scott and Ramona must bash their way across the city, from its streets to its beaches and even back in time to save the band, the city and the world.
Battle it out across a wild, video game warped Toronto with bursting colors and deep-cut Scott Pilgrim references, completing quests while defeating the gangs that rule over different parts of the city. Enemies can be dispatched with each characterâs unique, upgradable toolkit, or with different items found in the gameâs highly interactable environment, from baseball bats to demonic rods, turnips and more. Featuring a brand-new storyline co-written by Bryan Lee OâMalley and the team at Tribute Games, as well as all-new music from Scott Pilgrim alumni Anamanaguchi, Scott Pilgrim EX delivers a bold new chapter in the franchise for longtime fans and newcomers alike.
