Our researchers, Antonio Martinez Millana and Vicente Traver Salcedo from the SABIEN group, have participated in the WHO training programme “Impact Training for the Use of AI in Primary Health Care and Public Health in Greece”, held in Athens from 2–6 March 2026.

During this week-long programme, organized within the WHO 3PH initiative to enhance the Primary Healthcare System in Greece, they contributed as trainers in several sessions covering AI fundamentals for public health, prompt engineering, data analytics, AI governance, and the use of AI for evidence synthesis and scientific writing.

Vicente Traver explains how artificial intelligence can safely and effectively support decision-making

The training brought together public health professionals and experts to explore how artificial intelligence can safely and effectively support decision-making, healthcare delivery, and public health intelligence.

«It´s very useful to contribute to international capacity building in AI for health and to collaborate with the WHO and public health stakeholders in strengthening digital transformation in healthcare», ITACA researchers highlighted.
