ASTICAN has recently experienced a particularly significant transition with the departure of the Valaris DS12 and the subsequent arrival of the Valaris DS15 at our facilities in the Port of Las Palmas. A handover that clearly reflects operational continuity, careful planning and technical capability that define our work in the offshore sector.

After an intensive period at ASTICAN, the Valaris DS12 set sail for sea trials, successfully completing a major offshore repair project. Throughout her stay, a wide-ranging scope of works was carried out, always under strict standards of quality, safety and coordination. Her departure represents not only the completion of a demanding project, but also the result of close collaboration between specialised teams and a relationship of trust built over time with Valaris.

Shortly afterwards, ASTICAN welcomed the Valaris DS15, now berthed at our facilities to begin her scheduled maintenance and upgrade programme. The unit is expected to remain with us for the coming months, reinforcing the position of the Port of Las Palmas as a strategic mid-Atlantic hub for offshore operations.

This smooth transition between two major offshore units highlights ASTICAN’s commitment to technical excellence, operational reliability and long-term partnerships with our clients, supporting complex offshore campaigns with efficiency and confidence.
