Joint statement on Authorised Representative for Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) - FESI

At a time when regulatory simplification and a stronger Single Market are central to Europe’s competitiveness agenda, the European Commission’s proposal under the Environmental Omnibus—to temporarily suspend the requirement to appoint an Authorised Representative for certain EPR waste streams—marks a constructive step towards a more practical and efficient EU compliance framework. In this context, FESI has co-signed a joint industry statement calling for a more workable and harmonised European approach to Extended Producer Responsibility.
