All the news from the show!

The Minecraft universe keeps expanding! New game drops make our world deeper and more immersive. Quality-of-life features help make the most of your play time. And our real-life experiences let you enjoy Minecraft in entirely new ways with friends and family. We’re even releasing new video games! The most recent Minecraft LIVE features all that good stuff and more!

It’s a lot to keep track of. But don’t get overwhelmed. Take a breath, sit back, and watch. Our developers will bring you all the news, bit by bit, in one handy show.

We’ve also prepared a written recap. This is good for situations where watching a video might be frowned upon or slightly unwise. For example, you could print it out and read in the bath for a safe and relaxing Minecraft LIVE experience. Get creative!

Tiny Takeover

You might already be familiar with Tiny Takeover – our upcoming game drop that changes the look of almost every baby mob. Before this drop they looked like smaller versions of their adult equivalents. These were cute but, as Agnes declared as she clutched a chicken plush in a recent meeting: “Not cute enough!”

Now every baby mob has its own distinct look, optimized for adorability.

Agnes, Jasper, Sarah, and Felix talk about the inspiration behind the drop, and Sandra gets into the real-life challenges that come with being our Vanilla Audio Designer. Those pigs weren’t messing about.

New Minecraft Experiences

As Torfi mentions, we continue to explore new ways to bring Minecraft to the real world. Minecraft Experience: Villager Rescue was the first of its kind, giving you a chance to mine resources, explore biomes, and even battle mobs in an immersive environment. This adventure is travelling the globe, and will soon arrive at Herning, Singapore, Mexico City, and Chicago. Check the official site for more details.

We’re also working on an entirely new experience that takes place in a real forest! Minecraft Experience: Moonlight Trail is an outdoor nighttime adventure that’ll open soon in Buenos Aires. It will also travel to other cities over time.

Minecraft World

This is a big one! We’ve been working with Merlin Entertainments to create Minecraft World! The theme park land will be opening at London’s Chessington World of Adventures in 2027.

Minecraft World will be packed with attractions and things to do. We’re planning the first ever Minecraft rollercoaster, the world’s biggest Minecraft shop, tasty Minecraft-themed food, opportunities to meet the mobs, and lots more. This is a truly epic collaboration between Mojang Studios and Merlin Entertainments, but we also recruited creators to help with some of the trickier challenges. We’ll share more on Minecraft World soon.

DISCLAIMER: Daisy and Filip’s enthusiasm for Minecraft’s real-life smell and taste might inspire you to lick a controller or chew on some official merchandise, but this is not recommended unless you’re a dog and get permission from your owner. Thanks.

Chaos Cubed

We also featured a first-ever look at our upcoming game drop: Chaos Cubed!

First, we showed off the brand-new sulfur caves. They might look warm and inviting but beware; this isn’t the best place for a relaxing dip. Those pools are downright noxious and cause a strange dizzying-style effect if you get too close! We’re also introducing two new block sets – cinnabar and sulfur.

Though the new biome will be great to explore, our new mob, the sulfur cube, must be a highlight. Unlike any other mob in the game, it can absorb blocks! And its attributes change depending on what it’s consumed.

Give it some wood and it might start acting a bit like a cubic “ball” type-thing. Let it consume ice and it will slide around, more like a chunky, oversized hockey puck. Develop your sulfur cube skills and you can pull off some amazing shots but like most things in Minecraft, things don’t always go exactly to plan! The sulfur cube can absorb loads of different block types, providing infinite potential for experimentation.

This mob allows for even more creativity in your builds and refined chaos in your mini-games. We showcase a few ideas in this segment but, like everything we bring to the game, we’re mostly excited to see what you get up to when Chaos Cubed enters testing.

Minecraft Dungeons II

It’s not often that we get to announce an entirely new game but here we go: Minecraft Dungeons II is coming this year! This is an all-new action-RPG adventure where you’ll take on high-stakes encounters, thrilling challenges, and explore never-before-seen locations in the Minecraft universe. Of course, there will also be loot! Loads of it. Grab it all, or share with up to three friends as you co-operate to save a world in crisis.

It might seem obvious but here we are: Minecraft Dungeons II is the sequel to Minecraft Dungeons. There’s never been a better time to catch up if you’re late to the party.

Minecraft Dungeons II will be coming to Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Steam, Xbox on PC, and Game Pass.

We’ll share more news soon!

The Deep Dig

Chaos Cubed is one of the most intriguing game drops in quite some time! There’s just so much to show. Join Agnes, Jens, Elisabeth, Camman18, and Bekyamon as they discover the new features and face off in an incredibly intense selection of mini games featuring the awesome sulfur cube! Once again, credit to Vu for his admirable attempts to keep things running smoothly and understandable for you, our lovely viewers.
