Yesterday, the University’s International Relations Service held a new edition of the International Farewell Gala, an emotional ceremony dedicated to the international students who have been part of the CEU UAO during the second semester of the 2025-2026 academic year.

On this occasion, the university welcomed a total of 92 international students from 21 different countries. Among them, France, Mexico and the United Kingdom stood out in particular, reflecting once again the diversity and cultural richness that characterises the campus’s international community.
International students have been present on virtually every university degree programme at the University, with greater representation in areas such as Business Administration and Management (ADE), Marketing and Communication, which has contributed to enriching academic and cultural exchange in the classrooms.

The gala, presided over by the Vice-Rector for Quality, University Strategy and Internationalisation, Swen Seebach, brought together students, classmates and academic staff in an atmosphere marked by emotion and camaraderie. Laura Amado, Vice-Rector of Students and University Life, also took part. During the ceremony, diplomas and international awards were presented, a particularly significant moment that highlighted the effort, dedication and contribution of the students to university life.

The evening continued with a farewell cocktail party, where attendees were able to share memories, strengthen bonds and bring this chapter to a close in a festive, friendly atmosphere. This event provided an opportunity to strengthen relationships and celebrate a university experience marked by personal growth and cultural exchange.

With the celebration of this gala, the CEU UAO reaffirms its commitment to internationalisation and to promoting mobility programmes, reminding its international students that, even as they embark on new paths, they will always have a place to return to at the University.
