The international exhibition Titanic. The Human Story, currently presented at the Musée de la civilisation in Québec City, has achieved exceptional public success since opening in June 2025. To date, the exhibition has sold more than 240,000 tickets, with sessions selling out almost weekly and sustained demand from both local and international audiences.
The unprecedented response has led the Musée de la civilisation to extend the exhibition’s run until March 8, 2026, allowing additional visitors to engage with the exhibition throughout the winter season and beyond.
Produced by Musealia, Titanic. The Human Story offers a human-centered perspective on one of the most iconic events of the 20th century. Rather than focusing solely on the ship itself, the exhibition places passengers and crew at the heart of the narrative. Through original artifacts, personal belongings, and immersive storytelling, it explores the lives, choices, and circumstances that shaped the tragedy.
The exhibition’s approach has proven particularly engaging in Québec, where visitor feedback consistently highlights its emotional impact and accessibility for a wide range of audiences, including families, school groups, and cultural tourists. One visitor commented: “The Titanic exhibition was both moving and fascinating, giving a real sense of history and adventure. A perfect mix of learning and fun for the whole family.”
The success of Titanic. The Human Story has contributed to record-breaking seasonal attendance figures at the Musée de la civilisation, surpassing benchmarks set by previous major international exhibitions.
Supported by the Government of Québec and the City of Québec, the exhibition’s success at the Musée de la civilisation once again demonstrates the relevance of historically grounded, narrative-driven exhibitions. It also reinforces Musealia’s role as a producer of large-scale, museum-quality international touring exhibitions, known for reaching wide audiences through deeply human storytelling.
