Franco Pepe & Ana Roš cooked together once again, demonstrating the dialogue between the signature fried pizza of the creator of Pepe in Grani and the natural and vegetable cuisine of the Slovenian cook, chef of Hiša Franko.

Tarvisio, 25 July – The celebrated master pizzaiolo Franco Pepe once again joined forces with renowned Slovenian chef Ana Roš to offer a unique dinner at Ristorante Edelhof in Tarvisio, as part of the Ein Prosit Summer Edition. The title of the dinner, «Franco e Franko», is a nod to the complicity and gastronomic dialogue between two intersecting worlds: Pepe’s signature fried pizza and Roš’ natural, fermented and vegetable cuisine.

The menu included exclusive creations such as the fried pizzas Spazio mare, Contaminazione, the sweet version, Gelsomina. From the kitchen of Ana Roš there were dishes such as Sourdough Bruschetta (feast of Istrian tomato, pumpkin seeds, smoked egg and Istrian olive oil), Fermented Rice Crepe and Orzotto based on barley, fruit and herbs. The final four-handed dish ‘Together forever’ represents the symbol of this creative and human alliance.

Ein Prosit Summer 2025, from 18 to 20 and from 25 to 27 July, invites you to discover an authentic culinary adventure among flavours, breathtaking landscapes and Friulian hospitality. Two weekends of immersion in the heart of the Tarvisio region, amidst unspoilt nature, gastronomic excellence and local culture, with powerful gastronomic duos that further enhance the experience.

About Franco Pepe

Franco Pepe is considered the most famous Italian pizzaiolo in the world. Dough is in his DNA. His grandfather was a baker, his father was a pizzaiolo, and he and his brothers continued in the family business. Famous for his unique dough and his dedication to elevating the art of pizza making, his popularity began with an article by Jonathan Gold, a Pulitzer Prize-winning gastronome who wrote in the US edition of Food & Wine magazine: «I’ve probably had the best pizza in the world from Franco Pepe.

About Pepe in Grani

Pepe in Grani, a pizzeria located in Caiazzo, a small town of 5,000 inhabitants a few kilometres from the province of Caserta, is the place where Franco Pepe welcomes 400 customers and prepares 800 pizzas a day. Pepe in Grani’s project is based on research and selection of raw materials and the human factor, where he experiments and integrates among other themes and methods: the frying technique, the electric oven, the structure of the equipment and the scientific contribution. His pizza is based on innovation, but starts from tradition.
