Carmen Mansilla is a Spanish contemporary figurative artist whose work is grounded in drawing as a primary language. Combining academic precision with symbolic and myth-inspired narratives, she explores the human figure as a space of memory, transformation, and psychological intensity.
She has received major recognitions including First Prize in Drawing from the Fundación Ynglada Guillot (2017), awards and selections at the Art Renewal Center (ARC) (including the ARC Staff Prize, 2014), and Honourable Mentions at the ModPortrait International Portrait Competition (2016, 2017). Her work has also been acquired through the Figurativas competition, notably with The Legend of Lilith (2013) and Diana the Huntress or the Symbolic Cave (2017).
Mansilla’s paintings are held in public collections including the MEAM (Barcelona), the Museo del Dibujo del Castillo de Larrés, and the Ateneo de Madrid, and in private collections internationally. She exhibits regularly in Spain and abroad, with recent shows across Europe and China.
