It is with profound sadness that the World Sustainability Organization (WSO) announces the passing of its President, Franco Bray, who died at the age of 97.
A figure of great human and intellectual depth, Franco Bray, an international expert in food technology, was a fundamental pillar of the organisation’s foundation and development.

A Life Defined by Vision and Commitment

Born in 1928, Franco Bray lived through nearly a century of history, consistently maintaining keen intellectual curiosity and a rare sensitivity toward conservation issues. His career and personal commitment were characterised by a forward-thinking vision that successfully bridged respect for tradition with the imperative of sustainable global progress.
Under his presidency, the WSO and its World Sustainability Foundation, consolidated their international mission, becoming global benchmarks for biodiversity preservation.

The Founder and Director of the World Sustainability Organization, Paolo Bray, shared a heartfelt tribute:

My father inspired my interest in nature and guided our organisation and foundation in achieving significant results in conservation and awareness. We will miss his presence, but he will continue to motivate us through the example of his life.

The family and all staff members of the World Sustainability Organization join in mourning the loss of an extraordinary man. 

The World Sustainability Organization will continue its work, guided by the values and passion passed down by its President.
