Barcelona, March 12, 2026 — The Real Club de Polo de Barcelona Foundation and Tennium have signed a collaboration agreement to drive the growth of CSIO Barcelona (Official International Show Jumping Competition), the most important international show jumping competition held in Spain and one of the most emblematic events on the global equestrian calendar.
The alliance, effective since January 2026 and initially signed for this year’s edition with the possibility of renewal, combines the organizational experience of a historic local institution with Tennium’s expertise in developing major sports events. The objective is to continue strengthening CSIO Barcelona’s international positioning and enhancing the experience offered to the public, guests, and brands.
“CSIO Barcelona is part of the sporting DNA of the Real Club de Polo and of the city itself,” says Santiago Mercé, President of CSIO Barcelona. “The collaboration with Tennium allows us to bring in the expertise of a team with extensive experience in managing major international sports events and continue driving the evolution of the competition from an organizational standpoint. Our commitment is to preserve the essence and tradition of CSIO Barcelona while generating new development opportunities for the event, its sponsors, and the public.”
“This collaboration is an opportunity to continue strengthening CSIO Barcelona based on a model focused on coordination and professionalization,” states Juan de Dios Aguirre, Partner and CCO of Tennium. “Our goal is to support the event’s growth in key areas such as sponsorship, hospitality, and audience experience, always respecting the identity and history that make CSIO Barcelona a unique competition.”
Within this framework, the collaboration will focus on strategic areas of the event such as sponsorship, hospitality, and the fan zone, where Tennium will contribute its expertise to enhance the commercial development of the competition, strengthen its premium hospitality offerings, and continue evolving the experience for both brands and spectators.
In addition to these main areas, Tennium will provide support to the organizing team in marketing, communications, production, and operations.
CSIO Barcelona will celebrate its 114th edition from October 1 to 4, 2026, at the facilities of the Real Club de Polo de Barcelona and will host the final of the Longines League of Nations, the most prestigious team show jumping competition worldwide, organized by the Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI).
Throughout its history, as Spain’s oldest international sports event, the competition has established itself as one of the major dates on the equestrian calendar, combining sporting tradition, global projection, and a strong connection with the city of Barcelona.
With this project, Tennium is expanding beyond the world of tennis. CSIO Barcelona represents a new milestone in the company’s growth, marking its evolution into other sports and demonstrating its commitment to bringing its expertise to a wider range of sporting disciplines.
