Guidepost Solutions, a global leader in domestic and international investigations, compliance solutions, monitoring, and security and technology consulting, today announced the appointment of Caben Chester as vice president of Protective Services. Chester brings more than two decades of corporate and government experience spanning federal intelligence operations, enterprise risk management, and corporate security leadership to the firm’s expanding Protective Services practice.

“Caben’s combination of federal intelligence expertise and senior corporate security leadership makes him a valuable addition to our team,” said Julie Myers Wood, CEO, Guidepost Solutions. “His career spans some of the most demanding environments in both the public and private sectors, and that depth of experience will be immediately impactful to clients navigating complex security, risk, and threat management challenges.”

Prior to joining Guidepost Solutions, Chester served as director of Global Security, Risk and Resilience at LinkedIn, where he led enterprise-wide programs covering threat assessment, intelligence operations, executive protection, and crisis management. He directed LinkedIn’s 24/7 Global Security Operations Center and chaired the company’s cross-functional Threat Management team, coordinating closely with federal, state, and local law enforcement partners. Before LinkedIn, Chester held the same director-level role at Electronic Arts, where he built and scaled global intelligence, investigations, business continuity, and workplace violence prevention programs across the company’s international footprint.

Chester’s private sector career followed nearly two decades of service with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI). As a field intelligence director and chief intelligence officer for HSI’s Northern California and Nevada region, he led intelligence operations across eight field offices, overseeing a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) and serving as the HSI intelligence lead for major events including Super Bowl 50. Earlier in his DHS career, he managed the Global Human Smuggling and Trafficking Intelligence Unit in Washington, D.C. and contributed to the disruption of several transnational criminal organizations, earning the Interagency Award.

Chester holds a Master of Science in Criminal Justice, Law, and Society from American University’s School of Public Affairs, with a concentration in Policing, Counterterrorism, and Homeland Security, and a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Cornell University.
