PMT Site, a specialty civil infrastructure contractor headquartered in Nashville, today announced that Mike Robinson has joined the company as Director of Business Development & Sales. Robinson will also serve as Vice President of Business Development at American Gridwork Partners (AGP), which recently acquired PMT Site. In this role, Robinson will support AGP’s broader growth strategy of building a network through energy infrastructure partnerships, utility upgrades, behind-the-meter infrastructure, and critical grid resiliency projects such as distributed generation, generators, battery energy storage systems (BESS), microgrids, and other non-traditional underground infrastructure upgrades outside of the utility stack.

Robinson brings nearly 10 years of experience in the commercial construction industry and has deep roots across Middle Tennessee. Prior to his construction career, Robinson worked in local and state politics, where he developed a strong understanding of how projects advance, from stakeholder alignment and permitting pathways to schedule and execution realities. He later transitioned into commercial construction sales in Nashville, cultivating long-standing relationships with developers, contractors, and business leaders throughout the region.

“Mike has earned trust across Middle Tennessee because he shows up, he listens, and he follows through,” said Phil Terhaar, President of PMT Site. “His local relationships matter, but what matters most is how he approaches the work. He understands execution, and he cares about helping customers win. That’s exactly what we want as we scale PMT.”

“Mike’s expertise in building partnerships and navigating complex infrastructure projects makes him the ideal leader to drive PMT’s expansion,” said Grant E. Stark, CEO of AGP Southeast and Partner at Legacy Holdings. “As we accelerate grid modernization efforts across the Southeast, his ability to connect with key stakeholders in energy, utilities, and development will be instrumental in delivering resilient, scalable solutions that support future-ready infrastructure.”

“AGP’s strategy is to back exceptional operators and expand capabilities across the infrastructure stack,” said Benjamin Krall, Managing Partner and President of American Gridwork Partners. “Mike’s leadership and relationships in Middle Tennessee strengthen our platform at PMT Site and support our broader mission to invest behind critical infrastructure modernization.”

PMT Site is a specialty civil infrastructure contractor delivering critical enabling infrastructure and site readiness scopes including site development, mass grading, excavation, and underground utilities. The company supports complex commercial, industrial, and mixed-use projects, with a growing footprint across the Southeast. With a strong project pipeline and increasing demand for dependable field execution, PMT Site is building an operating model designed to deliver schedule certainty, disciplined project delivery, and high-performance field leadership at scale.

AGP’s acquisition of PMT Site reflects a broader strategy to build and support a portfolio of profitable, operator-led infrastructure service businesses that enable modern power, utility, and grid systems. AGP supports essential civil, underground utility, and enabling infrastructure across power, communications, data, transportation, and water. As a grid infrastructure partner, AGP focuses on underground utility services, energy grid upgrades, behind-the-meter infrastructure, and resilient systems supporting electrification, data center expansion, and sustainable development, including distributed energy resources (DERs) such as generators and battery energy storage systems (BESS). With AGP’s support, PMT Site is positioning to serve customers throughout the Southeast, partnering with the stakeholders driving the region’s next wave of infrastructure investment.

“The Southeast is growing rapidly, and the infrastructure demands across the region are accelerating,” said Robinson. “PMT has a strong reputation and a field team that knows how to execute. I’m excited to help bring the right projects to PMT where we can move with urgency, deliver quality, and build long-term partnerships.”

In his role at PMT Site, Robinson will focus on deepening relationships with developers, general contractors, municipalities, utilities, and other stakeholders involved in grid modernization and critical infrastructure delivery. His work will also help align PMT’s commercial strategy with AGP’s long-term investment thesis: building durable infrastructure capabilities, strengthening local partnerships, and scaling with disciplined execution. Robinson will be central to PMT’s expansion as the company grows beyond its Middle Tennessee base into a broader regional platform.

AGP partners with and supports profitable, operator-led infrastructure service businesses enabling modern energy, utility, and core infrastructure systems. Specializing in grid modernization, underground utility services, energy infrastructure, and behind-the-meter solutions, AGP partners with strong field teams, invests for long-term growth, and supports execution across essential civil, underground, and mission-critical infrastructure.
