Effe Reading Club
L’evento è parte della serie I Pomeriggi dedicata allə Fellows.
A cura di Viola Leddi (Fellow Roma Calling / Arti Visive).
L’artista Viola Leddi e la ricercatrice Camilla Paolino hanno invitato una serie di artiste, scrittrici, poetesse, archiviste, storiche, curatrici, attiviste e amiche da Roma e dintorni a partecipare all’Effe Reading Club, un gruppo di lettura nato attorno ad alcune copie originali di effe, la storica rivista di controinformazione femminista pubblicata in Italia tra il 1973 e il 1982, ritrovate nella casa-studio della prozia di Viola a Milano.
L’Effe Reading Club invita il pubblico ad assistere a una restituzione performativa e corale dell’incontro nato da questo gruppo di lettura transgenerazionale. Durante l’evento vengono presentate letture ad alta voce di testi composti dalle partecipanti, brani tratti da effe e frammenti selezionati da altri archivi familiari.
Con la partecipazione di: Diletta Bellotti, Pia Candinas, Marta Federici, Laura Fortini, Allison Grimaldi Donahue, Viola Lo Moro, Ginevra Ludovici, Giovanna Olivieri e altre da annunciare.

Viola Leddi (1993) è un’artista residente a Ginevra. Il suo lavoro, tra pittura e scultura, indaga i processi della visione e le loro implicazioni estetiche e politiche nella modernità occidentale. Ispirate da epistemologie femministe, le sue opere mettono in discussione il canone modernista della rappresentazione, fondato su uno sguardo disincarnato e dominatore. Ha concluso il programma Work.Master alla HEAD – Genève ed esposto, tra gli altri, al FRAC Champagne-Ardenne, alla Pace Gallery a Ginevra (2023), a Ordet a Milano, alla Triennale di Milano (2023) e a Liste Art Fair Basel (2022). È cofondatrice del collettivo Altalena.
