Vitux AS, the Norwegian contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO) behind Concordix®, today announced that its Concordix® platform now features more than 60 launch-ready supplement concepts, including omega-3 offerings produced in Friend of the Sea® (FoS) certified facilities.

Sustainability and responsible sourcing are long-term priorities for Vitux. The company has been a Friend of the Sea client since 2018 and manufactures select omega-3 products in FoS-certified facilities—supporting sourcing from well-managed fisheries and enabling traceability from origin to finished product.

The Concordix® portfolio spans key health categories, including longevity, immune support, children’s development, and everyday wellness. Within omega-3, the chewable emulsion format is designed to help overcome common barriers to use—such as taste and format preferences—while supporting stability and palatability.

Concordix® has also been evaluated in a clinical study, demonstrating up to 44.9% higher omega-3 absorption and supporting improved bioavailability in an easy-to-use format.

As demand grows for verified sourcing and greater transparency, certification programs provide a framework for bringing responsibly sourced omega-3 products to market at scale. Concordix® is designed to help brands align performance expectations with evolving sustainability requirements.

Concordix® omega-3 products manufactured in Friend of the Sea® certified facilities include:

• Omega Strong, delivering 585 mg of essential omega-3s in a single chew to support normal brain function and cognitive well-being

• Eye Care, combining omega-3 fatty acids with lutein and zeaxanthin to support vision and help protect cells from oxidative stress

• Immune Shield, combining omega-3s, propolis, and vitamin A to support the body’s natural defences

• Kids Total Care, providing twelve essential nutrients—including omega-3s, choline, and vitamins—to support brain development, focus, and learning

Friend of the Sea® certification is based on defined criteria aligned with international sustainability frameworks, including the FAO Guidelines for the Ecolabelling of Fish and Fishery Products. For certified products, this helps ensure that:

• Fish oil is sourced from well-managed, non-overexploited fisheries

• Fishing practices minimise bycatch

• Vulnerable or endangered species are not involved

• Full traceability is maintained throughout the supply chain

In addition, the compact, high-load chewable format supports efficient product design and may help optimise packaging and transport compared with some conventional supplement formats.
