OG Anunoby Is First Player to Win NBA Championship in Skechers

OG Anunoby hoists the 2026 NBA Championship trophy in SKX Nexus basketball shoes – the first NBA champion to win it in Skechers.

Born in London, UK, Ogugua “OG” Anunoby grew up in Missouri from age four and excelled as a basketball phenom in high school. He was selected as a pre-season All-American by The Sporting News ahead of his freshman year at Indiana University. In 2017, he declared for the NBA draft, where he was selected 23^rd overall by the Toronto Raptors. In 2019, the Raptors won the NBA championship, making Anunoby the first British-born basketball player to ever earn the title. He was traded to the New York Knicks at the end of 2023 and scored a career-high 40 points in a single game in November 2024. OG won his second NBA championship in 2026 with a career-high 20.1 points per game in the postseason. OG has also been named twice to the NBA All-Defensive Second Team (2023 and 2026).
