Joint statement for pragmatic and harmonised EU packaging labelling under PPWR - FESI

FESI, together with fifteen other EU associations, calls for future PPWR harmonised packaging labels to be pragmatic, text-free and based on pictorgams, with flexibility to use achromatic or monochromatic formats and digital labelling where appropriate. Harmonised labelling should prevent Single Market fragmentation, avoid costly relabelling and repackaging, reduce consumer information overload, and ensure Member States repeal divergent national labelling requirements once EU labels are adopted.
