From 19 to 25 July, 31 university students from the Italian Colleges of Merit took part in the second edition of EucA's NYC Leadership Summer School, organized in collaboration with The Conference of Colleges of Merit (CCUM) and the City University of New York.
Blending formal learning with experiential education, the program challenged participants to strengthen their leadership skills, broaden their intercultural awareness, and explore global perspectives in one of the world's most dynamic cities.
Throughout the week, students engaged in diverse activities, including:
A visit to the United Nations Headquarters, exploring the role of international institutions in addressing global challenges.
Leadership training delivered by the City University of New York (CUNY) and its Malave Leadership Academy, focusing on thoughtful leadership, collaboration, and personal development.
Interactive workshops on the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI®), helping participants better understand intercultural competence and its application in international settings.
The event concluded with students working in multidisciplinary teams to co-design six innovative projects, applying the knowledge and skills developed throughout the week.

The NYC Leadership Summer School once again showed the power of international mobility and experiential learning in preparing students to become thoughtful leaders capable of making a positive impact in their communities and beyond.
