Festival de Jazz de Barcelona - Visit Barcelona

The Barcelona Jazz Festival is the great celebration of this genre, and this year it is celebrating its 56th edition. Between October 2024 and March 2025, the city will host international jazz greats such as Pat Metheny, Kamasi Washington, Maria Schneider, Michel Camilo, John Scofield, Zakir Hussain, Dave Holland, Chris Potter, Mulatu Astatke, Shabaka, Fred Hersch, Paquito de Rivera, Joe Lovano and Brad Mehldau. The program also draws on vibrant local talent, with artists such as Rita Payés, Andrea Motis, Silvia Pérez Cruz with Juan Falú, the Barcelona Jazz Orchestra, the Sant Andreu Jazz Band, Chicuelo with Marco Mezquida and many others. Flamenco has its place in the festival with the series De Cajón!, which this year includes artists of the stature of Israel Fernández, Miguel Poveda, Tomatito, Vicente Amigo, Yerai Cortés, Alba Carmona and María José Llergo.
