The Norwegian tennis player (6th ATP) has 12 titles to his name and two finals at Roland Garros

The Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell – Trofeo Conde de Godó will feature the participation of the champion of the 2024 edition, Casper Ruud. The Norwegian tennis player, number 6 in the ATP ranking, confirms his presence in Barcelona from April 12 to 20 to play one of his favorite tournaments (it will be his fifth participation) and seek a second title. The last player to win the tournament twice consecutively was Carlos Alcaraz in 2022 and 2023. In fact, the tennis player from Murcia was the first to confirm his presence for the next edition of the tournament on the courts of the Real Club de Tenis Barcelona-1899.

Casper Ruud has established himself in recent years as one of the best players in the world and, at 26 years old, he is a candidate to lift the trophy in any tournament he participates in. Last year, he won the title in Barcelona after beating Stefanos Tsitsipas in the final by 7-5, 6-3. Ruud is a great specialist on clay, he trains at the Rafa Nadal Academy in Manacor and 11 of his 12 titles have been on this surface (in addition to a total of 17 finals).

Tickets to see him play can only be purchased through the official tournament website (www.barcelonaopenbancsabadell.com), but they will soon sell out, as the rate of sales is very high.
