Federman & Sherwood Investigates South Suburban College for Data Breach

The law firm of Federman & Sherwood has initiated an investigation into South Suburban College (“SSC”) with respect to their recent data breach. On or around November 8, 2023, SSC became aware of an unauthorized cybersecurity incident. SSC immediately launched an investigation into the incident. The investigation concluded that an unauthorized party may have accessed certain individuals’ sensitive information on SSC’s network and was demanding a ransom payment.
