Legends for Charity was hosted by former Pat Summerall Award honoree and broadcasting legend Chris Berman, NFL Studio host and anchor of SportsCenter on ESPN. Dan Hicks, NBC Sports broadcaster, golf, Olympics, Notre Dame football presented the award. The star-studded red carpet event took place at Hyatt Regency New Orleans, the NFL headquarters hotel during Super Bowl week.

Storm, the second female broadcaster to receive the Pat Summerall Award, accepted the honor in front of a packed house of more than 550 guests. In addition to supporting St. Jude kids being treated for cancer and other life threatening diseases, Storm is also an advocate for children suffering vascular anomalies and breast cancer research, testing and early detection.

Commencing at Super Bowl XL in Detroit in 2006, Pat Summerall personally chose the honoree and presented the award in person annually during Super Bowl weekend until his passing in 2013. Pat's unparalleled legacy lives on through this prestigious event. Legends for Charity was created by Cheryl DeLeonardis, President and CEO, Ocean 2 Ocean Productions, in partnership with Cheri Summerall, wife of the late Pat Summerall, to honor a national broadcaster or prominent sports personality who embodies the characteristics Pat Summerall wanted the award to represent – an individual who has had an outstanding career and who has made a significant impact in their community.

Hannah is an incredibly talented broadcaster and an amazing human being with a huge heart whose compassionate efforts make the world a better place,” said Richard C. Shadyac Jr., President and CEO of ALSAC, the fundraising and awareness organization for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. “It was an honor to celebrate Hannah’s career and accomplishments beyond broadcasting greatness. We’re grateful for our friends Cheri Summerall and Cheryl DeLeonardis who allow us to celebrate Pat Summerall’s legacy of professionalism and generosity. Because of fundraising events like Legends for Charity and the support of organizations like the NFL, St. Jude can continue to lead the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases both here and around the world.”

This year’s attendees participated in a live auction which included Super Bowl LIX tickets, a 6-night Ireland adventure and a VIP experience at the Danny Thomas Celebrity-Am golf tournament in Memphis. Legends for Charity has raised more than $14 million to benefit St. Jude since 2006.
