The Italian Association of Regional Sciences (AISRe) is offering a scholarship to fund a research period abroad at an institution in an EU27 country or the United Kingdom. Applications are open to young researchers (under 35 years of age) who obtained their PhD from an Italian university no more than three years before the publication date of this call.
After careful evaluation of the applications, all of which were meritorious, the Commission unanimously awarded the prize to the candidate.

His research project addresses small-area estimation in spatial econometrics models, proposing innovative approaches to correcting statistical bias and providing applications relating to the lifestyles, well-being and health of the Italian population. The candidate’s curriculum, the subject of study, and the high profile of the host university offer the most favourable conditions for the successful realisation of the proposed research.
Furthermore, the candidate’s approach and research methods are particularly consistent with the themes of AISRe.
