Abat Oliba CEU University has officially started the 2025–2026 academic year today, September 15, with a very special milestone: the launch of the first cohort of its Nursing Degree.
A total of 80 students are enrolled in this new programme, divided into small groups of 40 to encourage personalised and close-knit learning. Last week, they already took part in a welcome session where they met their professors and learned about the services available at the university.
The Nursing curriculum stands out for its humanistic approach, placing the dignity and value of each person at the centre of healthcare. From the very first year, students will complete placements in leading hospitals and primary care centres in Catalonia, thanks to the agreements the university maintains with these institutions. They will also benefit from clinical simulation activities that allow them to train in real-world healthcare scenarios.
“The launch of the Nursing Degree represents a step forward in consolidating the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences at Abat Oliba CEU University. It is a very important milestone that strengthens our commitment to training healthcare professionals who are dedicated and ready to face future challenges,” said Jordi Palés, Dean of the Faculty.
With this new degree, Abat Oliba CEU University expands its academic offering in the field of Health Sciences and takes a step further in its mission to train professionals with a holistic, innovative, and person-centred vision.
