Carnegie Learning, a global leader in AI-driven technology, curriculum, and professional learning solutions for K-12 education, announced today that its K-5 elementary math solution, ClearMath Elementary, received perfect scores in a new report published by EdReports.

EdReports is an independent nonprofit that evaluates instructional materials for their focus, coherence, rigor, and usability. It is a gold-standard leader in helping teachers and administrators identify the highest-quality instructional materials.

Powered by play, ClearMath Elementary reimagines the math classroom as a space for meaningful play, curiosity, and reasoning. With engaging lessons, centers, and game-based digital learning, students explore math through investigation and creativity – building persistence and a deep understanding of how math connects to the world around them. Grounded in 25 years of research on how students learn, ClearMath Elementary strengthens executive functioning skills and nurtures flexible, confident thinkers. For educators, straightforward supports, facilitation notes, and digital tools make implementation effortless and teaching joyful. Through interactive lessons, reflection, and MATHia® Adventure games, mathematical thinking comes alive all day long.

ClearMath Elementary met EdReports’ expectations in all three gateways:

Focus and Coherence: Do materials assess grade-level content and give all students extensive work with grade-level problems to meet the full intent of grade-level standards? Are each grade's materials coherent and consistent with the Standards?

Rigor and Mathematical Practices: Do materials reflect the balances in the Standards and help students meet the Standards' rigorous expectations by giving appropriate attention to developing students' conceptual understanding; procedural skill and fluency; and engaging applications? Do materials meaningfully connect the Standards for Mathematical Content and Standards for Mathematical Practice?

Teacher and Student Supports: Do materials include opportunities for teachers to effectively plan and utilize with integrity to further develop their own understanding of the content? Are materials designed for each child's regular and active participation in grade-level/grade-band/series content? Do materials include a visual design that is engaging and references or integrates digital technology, when applicable, with guidance for teachers?

“It’s wonderful to be recognized by the top organization that districts rely on for a sign of approval,” says Barry Malkin, Carnegie Learning CEO. “For those districts that implement our elementary math solution, they can feel confident in their decision, and teachers can be assured that they have the supports they need to do what they do best—teach mathematics well. This accomplishment is a company-wide collaborative effort, and we’re beyond excited knowing the impact ClearMath Elementary will make on student learning across the country.”

ClearMath Elementary successfully meeting expectations across all three gateways demonstrates the program’s alignment to standards and a strong focus on supporting effective teaching and learning. Schools and districts can confidently choose ClearMath Elementary, knowing it has met the highest quality standards.

“EdReports’ high ratings affirm what we set out to do with ClearMath Elementary—give teachers high-quality instructional materials that bring math to life through coherent, playful, discussion-rich experiences where every student engages in mathematics with creativity and confidence,” said Chief Mathematics Officer Amy Jones Lewis. “With ClearMath Elementary, joy and curiosity are powerful catalysts for mathematical understanding.”
