The Social Innovation Campus 2026 was a great success, bringing thousands of students to MIND to discuss social innovation, sustainability and the future of work.
From 25 to 27 February, young people engaged with organisations, institutions and companies to explore how innovation can generate social impact. Human Technopole contributed to this collective effort through different voices and perspectives. Elena Trovesi (Chief Administrative Officer) joined the opening panel dedicated to talents and places of the future. Valentina Cecatiello (Senior Technician, Structural Biology Research Centre), together with Francesca Milanesi (Lab Manager, Structural Biology Research Centre), met high school students to share how structural biology helps us understand the architecture of proteins and supports the development of new therapies. Eleonora Pizzi (Human Resources) took part in BUSSOLAV, Paola Moscatelli (Head of Procurement and Supply Chain) contributed to the masterclass on Social Procurement, and Giovanni Selmi (Head of Finance) joined the event “The Future is in our DNA” during the student presentations.
For Human Technopole, however, the Social Innovation Campus represented even more. It marked the conclusion of a journey that began with the presentation of our 2024 Integrated Report, where we reaffirmed our commitment to transparency, measurable impact and sustainable growth.
Building on that moment, we launched an educational pathway with Fondazione Triulza involving two local schools, Liceo Classico Clemente Rebora in Rho and Liceo Scientifico Russel-Fontana in Garbagnate Milanese. Over the following months, students explored the connections between genetics, nutrition, environment and health. They met researchers and external experts, reflected on how scientific knowledge informs personal and collective choices, and developed their own project proposals.
At the Social Innovation Campus, these students stepped onto a public stage to present their work to peers and professionals, turning learning into dialogue and ideas into shared responsibility. The event became the culmination of a process designed to open our campus, our expertise and our questions to the young people.
Human Technopole is a next-generation research institute with a shared mission to improve human life while fostering connections. Advancing science means not only generating discovery, but also spreading a culture of openness, collaboration and curiosity that reaches beyond our laboratories and into society.
The Social Innovation Campus 2026 was promoted by Fondazione Triulza through its Social Innovation Academy and organised in collaboration with the MIND partners: Human Technopole, IRCCS Ospedale Galeazzi – Sant’Ambrogio, Università degli Studi di Milano, Politecnico di Milano, alongside Lendlease, Federated Innovation @MIND and Principia.
