ASTICAN has been awarded the Gold Medal of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, one of the city’s highest distinctions, granted to individuals and organisations that have contibuted significantly to its development.
This recognition highlights over five decades of experience since the company’s foundation in 1972, as well as its key role in positioning the Port of Las Palmas as an international benchmark in the ship repair sector.
Over the years, ASTICAN has built its model on specialisation, quality and innovation, while maintaining a strong commitment to sustainability, training and employment.
The award, received by President Germán Suárez during the official Honours and Distinctions ceremony, represents not only an important milestone for the company, but also recognition of the dedication and effort of all the people who are part of ASTICAN.
This distinction comes at a time of growth and transformation, as the company continues to invest in the modernisation of its facilities and in solutions that contribute to a more efficient and sustainable maritime industry.
