Centauri Health Solutions today announced that MedAllies, a Centauri company, has achieved General Availability (GA) as a CMS Aligned Network, marking one year since joining the White House pledge to build the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services' (CMS) Health Technology Ecosystem. GA confirms that MedAllies' identity verification, consent management and data exchange protocols are performing reliably at national scale, not in pilot environments, but under sustained, real-world consumer demand.
As one of the original 21 networks that pledged at the White House “Make Health Tech Great Again” event a year ago, MedAllies successfully demonstrated its platform to Health and Human Services (HHS) officials at the April 9 First Wave Launch Event. On July 27, MedAllies joined HHS and CMS leadership and hundreds of ecosystem participants in Washington, D.C. to celebrate the initiative’s growth from 60 founding organizations to more than 800 today.
MedAllies' Growth, By the Numbers
- +124% quarter-to-date growth in Consumer Access volume
- 2.2x increase in monthly Consumer Access volume between January and April 2026
- 8x increase in patient document retrievals over the same period — clear evidence that consumers aren't just connecting their apps; they're actively pulling and using their records

What began as a pledge and an early-stage demonstration has become one of the fastest-scaling consumer data exchange stories in the ecosystem. Since showcasing its platform at HHS, MedAllies’ Consumer Access services have gone from pilot volumes to tens of thousands of consumer-initiated transactions every month, proof that when patients are given a real, friction-free way to reach their own health data, they use it.
“A pledge is easy to make; sustained, real-world adoption is hard to earn,” said Mike McNelis, CEO of Centauri Health Solutions. “What we're seeing with MedAllies is consumers coming back, month after month, to use their own health data actively. That kind of growth only happens when the infrastructure works reliably enough that people trust it and keep using it.”
MedAllies’ momentum is fueling a new generation of patient-facing applications, from “Kill the Clipboard” tools built on SMART on FHIR standards and SMART Health Links, to Conversational AI Assistants delivering personalized, patient-consented support.
“Standards are what make this scale,” said Dr. John Blair, Senior Vice President, Strategic Programs at Centauri Health Solutions. “When a network speaks the same language as the rest of the ecosystem, developers aren't starting from scratch every time. That's what lets a good idea reach patients.”
As the CMS Health Technology Ecosystem enters its second year, Centauri and MedAllies see this moment as early evidence of what’s possible when patients, not portals, are put in control of their own health information.
