The 15th edition of Trieste Next Festival of Scientific Research will take place from Friday 25 to Sunday 27 September 2026
ICGEB will be present as it continues to foster dialogue on science and innovation, through meetings, talks, and debates that will bring the city to life over the three-day festival (also available via live streaming).
ICGEB will be hosting an exciting edition of “Science & the City” – an event held in English with leading international scientific partners.

📌 09:00–12:00: Piazza Unità d’Italia, Trieste, at the ICGEB Stand where school groups will be hosted at the Gazebo in Trieste’s main square.
📌 13:00–22:00: ICGEB Stand, Piazza Unità d’Italia, Trieste, science lab activities for the public. Including, in the afternoon and evening, the ICGEB Virtual Reality experience “Fascinating Journey into the Human Cell“.
📌 14:30–15:30: ICGEB Laboratories, Padriciano, Trieste. Students from European universities participating in the Trieste Next International Academy will visit the ICGEB laboratories and facilities.
