Avetta®, the leader in intelligent work readiness across global supply chains, today recognized Katie Martin, Director, Sustainability and Innovation, for winning the Future Leader Award as part of the 2026 Global Supply Chain Awards.
In association with Supply Chain Digital magazine, the Global Supply Chain Awards annually honor organizations and individuals driving meaningful change across international supply chains. With a judging panel representing organizations including Amazon, Apple, Coupa, Google, IBM and Siemens, the 2026 awards highlighted achievements in strategic sourcing, supplier collaboration, digital transformation, sustainability and operations.
“This year's Global Supply Chain Awards spotlight the organizations and individuals who are redefining what progress looks like, whether through the successful integration of sustainability initiatives, or the navigation of volatility,” said Louise Collins, Editor at Supply Chain Digital, in a recent article announcing the winners. “Congratulations to all winners, highly-commended entries and finalists. Together, they demonstrate how excellence can shine through, even in the most turbulent times.”
Martin was recognized for her work at Avetta in helping businesses transform their environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance and risk management to meet the demands of complex modern supply chains, empowering both hiring clients and the suppliers and contractors they depend on to move beyond compliance, strengthen work readiness and achieve operational excellence.
Martin’s approach reflects a broader shift in how organizations manage supply chain risk. Rather than treating sustainability as a reporting exercise or viewing suppliers and contractors only through the lens of compliance, she helps make expectations more actionable and accessible. Her work includes developing ESG assessments and playbooks that help suppliers and contractors understand what is expected of them and build scalable capabilities at their own pace.
“I’m truly honored to receive the Future Leader Award and grateful to the colleagues and customers who have helped shape this work,” Martin said. “The most meaningful part of my role is finding ways to make ESG risk management more practical for the people who put it into action every day. When we give suppliers and contractors greater clarity and a path to improve, we help create stronger, more resilient supply chains for everyone.”
Martin is part of Avetta’s Risk Advisory practice, which combines deep expertise across ESG, health and safety, procurement and other areas of supply chain risk with data-driven insights from Avetta’s global network of hiring clients, suppliers and contractors. The practice is a key differentiator for Avetta, helping translate complex and evolving requirements into practical approaches that strengthen readiness across the supply chain.
“Katie has a rare ability to connect big-picture sustainability challenges with the realities of how supply chains actually operate,” said Danny Shields, Vice President, Sustainability and Risk at Avetta. “She’s a perfect example of how our Risk Advisory practice empowers the many hiring clients, suppliers and contractors within the Avetta community to turn complex requirements into practical actions. Katie helps these businesses strengthen readiness by navigating ESG and other supply chain risks with confidence to improve performance and, ultimately, build more resilient supply chains.”
Martin and this year’s other winners were honored at a gala in London.
