El CD Castellón y el Feyenoord Rotterdam han alcanzado un acuerdo para la cesión del futbolista Thomas van den Belt hasta el 30 de junio de 2025.
Van den Belt (Zwolle. 18-06-2001) es un mediocentro polivalente que ha desarrollado la gran parte de su carrera en el club de su ciudad natal, el PEC Zwolle, desde 2012 hasta el 2023. En la temporada 2020-2021 el neerlandés debutó en la Eredivisie, donde acumuló 39 partidos en dos temporadas en la máxima categoría del fútbol de Países Bajos. En el tramo final de su segunda campaña con la primera plantilla, van den Belt ya coincidió con Dick Schreuder.
En la 2022-2023, con el actual técnico del CD Castellón en el banquillo y con Haris Medunjanin y Daijiro Chirino sobre el césped, el neerlandés cuajó una temporada sensacional, siendo clave en el ascenso del conjunto de Overijssel a la Eredivisie. En el segundo escalón del fútbol de Países Bajos anotó dieciséis tantos y repartió ocho asistencias, siendo clave en los esquemas de Dick con más de 3000 minutos.
Su buen hacer le llevó al Feyenoord en el mercado de verano del 2023. Con el conjunto de Rotterdam disputó nueve partidos de liga, uno de Supercopa de los Países Bajos y llegó a debutar en la Champions League en un duelo ante el Celtic.
Ahora, van den Belt llega al CD Castellón para hacer disfrutar al público del SkyFi Castalia y ayudar al equipo a conseguir sus objetivos en el regreso del club a La Liga Hypermotion.

CD Castellón and Feyenoord Rotterdam have reached an agreement for the loan of Thomas van den Belt until 30 June 2025.
Van den Belt (Zwolle. 18-06-2001) is a versatile midfielder who has spent most of his career with his hometown club PEC Zwolle from 2012 until 2023. In the 2020-2021 season the Dutchman made his debut in the Eredivisie, where he amassed 39 appearances in two seasons in the top flight of Dutch football. In the final stretch of his second season with the first team, van den Belt already coincided with Dick Schreuder.
In the 2022-2023 season, with the current CD Castellón coach on the bench and with Haris Medunjanin and Daijiro Chirino on the pitch, the Dutchman had a sensational season, playing a key role in the Overijssel side’s promotion to the Eredivisie. In the second tier of Dutch football, he scored sixteen goals and dished out eight assists, playing a key role in Dick’s schemes with more than 3,000 minutes.
His good work took him to Feyenoord in the 2023 summer transfer window. With the Rotterdam club he played nine league games, one in the Dutch Super Cup and even made his debut in the Champions League in a match against Celtic.
Now, van den Belt arrives at CD Castellón to delight the fans at SkyFi Castalia and help the team achieve its goals in the club’s return to La Liga Hypermotion.
