This autumn, Pinacoteca Agnelli will present the most extensive exhibition dedicated to the Italian artist Salvo (b. Leonforte 1947 – d. Turin 2015) since 2015. The exhibition titled Arrivare in Tempo [Arriving on Time] will continue from Friday, 1 November 2024 to Sunday, 25 May 2025.
The exhibition will offer a path through Salvo’s oeuvre, emphasising how his approach to painting – in its recurrent thematic cycles, attention to art historical references and exploration of light – has always been in continuity with his early conceptual research.
Mazzoleni is pleased to participate with the loan of The Triumph of St. George (by Carpaccio), 1974. The monumental canvas about three and a half meters wide, previously shown at the 37th Venice Biennale, was recently exhibited by Mazzoleni at Art Basel Unlimited.
