OHB Italia S.p.A. is looking for an experienced SENIOR SATELLITE SYSTEM ENGINEER to join our Satellite and Missions Department in Rome or Milan.
🔍 What we’re looking for?
We’re seeking a highly skilled professional with 10+ years of hands-on experience in satellite systems engineering. This role is your chance to shape the entire #satellitelifecycle – from design and development to launch and in-orbit operations. Whether it’s early conceptual phases or final delivery, you’ll be at the heart of innovative Earth observation missions, working with optical and radar satellites for both commercial and institutional clients.
💡 What you’ll do?
Lead the development and qualification of challenging #smallsatellites.
Define requirements for cutting-edge Earth observation missions.
Perform trade-offs, functional analyses, and manage satellite interfaces.
Oversee satellite verification, AIT activities, and even participate in launch campaigns.
Propose innovative approaches to optimize processes, reduce costs, and accelerate delivery timelines.
🚀 What you’ll bring?
Deep expertise in #SatelliteSystemsEngineering and payloads.
Proven experience with #optical and/or #radarmissions.
A track record of working with commercial and institutional customers.
Strong #leadership, problem-solving, and customer-oriented thinking.
Knowledge of tools like Model-Based System Engineering and concurrent engineering platforms is a plus.
