Last week, Startup Valencia took part in the prestigious DLD Munich 2025 forum. Under the theme “Future Positive,” the city of Munich once again became the epicenter of global innovation, hosting an event that brought together some of the world’s leading visionaries, entrepreneurs, and investors to celebrate its 20th anniversary.

The Valencian delegation, comprising Startup Valencia and Valencia Innovation Capital, was represented by Krloos Rivera, strategic advisor to Startup Valencia. Rivera attended the event to highlight Valencia’s position as a global tech hub. This participation also provided an opportunity to forge strategic alliances and discover emerging trends shaping the future of technology and business. As the Valencian delegation noted, “DLD Munich 2025 has been an enriching experience that allowed us to learn from global leaders, identify key trends, and open new doors for international collaborations.”

For Startup Valencia, participating in such a significant event reaffirms its commitment to enhancing the international profile of the city as a global tech epicenter. “We leave with fresh ideas, strategic contacts, and renewed motivation to continue building a future full of opportunities from Valencia,” Rivera explained.

A space for transformative innovation

Since its founding in 2005, DLD (Digital-Life-Design) has become a must-attend event for entrepreneurs, creatives, and business leaders worldwide. This year, in addition to celebrating its 20th anniversary, DLD offered a diverse and enriching program of conferences, panels, and discussions on the challenges and opportunities of the coming decades.

In this special edition, renowned speakers, including leading scientists, Silicon Valley investors, and founders of emerging startups, shared their perspectives on the societal impact of emerging technologies. Key topics included the development of ethical artificial intelligence, advances in biotechnological therapies, the role of quantum computing in solving global challenges, and the latest initiatives in space exploration.

Beyond the conferences, DLD Munich 2025 stood out as a unique networking space where participants exchanged experiences and insights. As one of the organizers noted, the event aimed to be a meeting point where technology is not just seen as a tool but as a driver of positive impact worldwide.
