Metamask edition: Chrome refuses to open the malignant Dappe website

As a DAPP -ENTHUSISAST, I met numerous problems while I have provided and interacted with decentralized applications (DAPPS). I recently had a frustrating problem with my simple Ethereum-based DAPP that seemed to have a critical problem in Chrome. In this article we will examine the problem with modamascular problem and provide potential solutions to solve the problem.

The problem

When users click on the link of my website, Chrome refuses to open it, which leads to a red side error. After further investigations, I found that the problem lies in the Metamask settings. In particular, Metamask claims that my Dappe website is malicious.

Understand Metamask’s settings

Metamask is a popular browser extension with which users interact with their Ethereum letter pocket and use intelligent contracts on various blockchain platforms. However, when it comes to DAPPS that are hosted in decentralized networks such as Ethereum, some users may not want to install metamask due to security concerns or for other reasons.

If you activate that the setting “[DAPP -website] execute” in your Metamask browser settings, Metamask tries to access and control your wallet. Unfortunately, this can lead to malicious dapps being used in your account without your knowledge or your approval.

The fix

Follow the following steps to solve the problem and prevent malignant dapps from being used in your Ethereum letter pocket.

  • Disable Metamask “Enable [DAPP -website] in the background” Setting : Go to your Metamask browser settings> Extended settings> wallet & bridge.
  • Delete all the intermediate metamask extensions : Delete the cache and the cookies from Metamask extensions in Chrome> Settings> Extended> Browser> Extensions.
  • Install a compatible dapp browser extension : Use another DAPP browser such as Dappstore or Dapphub, which offers a more user-friendly experience without affecting security.
  • Check your Metamask Settings for other potential problems : Check the “Arrine pockets” and “Security” settings to ensure that you are set up correctly.

Alternative solutions

If you still have problems after deactivating the settings of metamask and have deleted intermediate extensions, you should take these alternative solutions into account:

  • Install a reputable dapp browser extension that offers a more user-friendly experience.
  • Use another item pocket or bridge service that is not susceptible to the same safety risks.
  • Consider using a central DAPP business such as OpenSea or rarible that may offer more robust protection and support.

Diploma

I hope this article has helped you solve the problem with the metamaskation and prevent malignant dapps from being used on your Ethereum letter bag. If you follow these steps and take the necessary precautions, you can ensure a safe and pleasant experience in interaction with decentralized applications.
