The Microwave Imager (#MWI), part of ESA’s MetOp-SG mission, was recently undergoing functional tests to verify its radiometric performance. This critical step ensures the instrument meets the highest standards for accuracy and reliability in observing clouds, precipitation, and atmospheric humidity.

MWI will play a key role in advancing numerical weather prediction and climate monitoring, delivering high-resolution microwave observations for improved forecasting.
