I Squared Capital Appoints Ben Harper as Managing Director, Head of Sustainability

I Squared Capital, a leading global infrastructure investment firm, is pleased to announce the appointment of Ben Harper as Head of Sustainability. Based in the firm’s Miami office, Ben will oversee environmental sustainability, climate risk, and responsible investment initiatives across I Squared and its fund strategies.

Ben brings extensive expertise in integrating sustainability principles into investment processes and asset management. He has had leading responsibilities including Managing Director, Head of ESG at Stonepeak, and Head of Corporate Sustainability at Zurich North America Insurance, where he led the development of Zurich’s sustainability strategy, corporate social responsibility initiatives, and climate targets. He also contributed to the advancement of risk transfer products supporting carbon transition, including solutions for renewable energy and alternative funding structures for Clean Development Mechanism projects.

Ben’s leadership in sustainability extends beyond corporate roles. He has contributed to public policy and industry best practices through his involvement with the White House Interagency CCS Task Force, the EU’s Zero Emission Platform (ZEP), and several advisory boards, including the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Infrastructure Resilience Division and the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) Infrastructure Advisory Committee.

Ben holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Southern Polytechnic State University.
