Startup Valencia is launching the second call for applications for the Cybersecurity Startup Program, an acceleration program aimed at tech companies from any sector seeking to strengthen their business model and boost their scalability. This program, organized by the National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE)—a body under the Ministry for Digital Transformation and Public Service through the State Secretariat for Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence—and Startup Valencia, with the support of Valencia Innovation Capital from the Valencia City Council, is open to entrepreneurs from all fields who integrate cybersecurity into their value chain. The project is part of the INCIBE Emprende initiative, under the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR), and funded by the Next Generation EU funds.

Selected startups will benefit from the support of a top-tier panel of mentors, made up of seasoned professionals from various sectors. Confirmed mentors for this edition include Salva Ferri (We Tangible), Alejandro Aliaga (Ontinet), Aldemaro González (Plug and Play Tech Center), Javier Olmo (Thinkia Training), Javier Echaleku (Kuombo), Guillermo Urbez (Aktion Legal), and Chaume Sánchez (GeeksHubs), among others.

The program offers two tracks: an incubation program for entrepreneurs with ideas or tech projects who have not yet incorporated their company, and an acceleration program designed for startups developing cybersecurity solutions for citizens, professionals, or SMEs. In addition to mentorship, participating startups will have access to a range of exclusive benefits and awards designed to fuel their growth, including strategic advisory, specialized training, access to investors, and networking opportunities with other entrepreneurs and industry players. They will also have the chance to present their projects to key actors in the innovation and tech ecosystem.

Nacho Mas, CEO of Startup Valencia, highlights the importance of the program as a growth driver for startups: “Our goal is to create an environment where startups can validate their business models, scale their projects, and become leaders in their respective sectors.” “With this second edition, we continue to support entrepreneurial talent by offering the necessary tools to grow and consolidate in the market, while attracting innovative projects and generating opportunities that boost the tech sector,” he adds.
