The countdown has begun: the deadline to submit proposals for the VDS 2025 Call for Speakers ends this Sunday, June 15. VDS is one of Europe’s leading international tech events, positioning Valencia as a global innovation hub.
The eighth edition of VDS will take place on October 22–23 at the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia. Under the theme “Symbiosis”, the event will explore how technology, when aligned with human purpose, can offer real solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges. Over 12,000 professionals from 120 countries, 3,000 startups, 1,500 corporations, and 800 investors with a combined portfolio exceeding €300 billion are expected to attend.
The Call is open to C-Level leaders, startup founders, visionary investors, and experts driving change in key areas such as Smart Cities & Digital Infrastructure, Next-Gen Consumer Technologies, Talent & the Future of Work, HealthTech & Longevity, The Future of Energy & GreenTech, DeepTech & Scientific Innovation, Aerospace Industry, and Cybersecurity. Selected speakers will receive a Speaker Pass, VIP access, and prominent visibility across the event’s official channels.
Speaking at VDS means joining the global movement toward innovation and technological disruption. In its last edition, VDS 2024 received over 900 speaker applications from 60 countries, making it the most international to date, with 52% of speakers coming from abroad. Notable participants included Steve Chen, Co-founder of YouTube; Randi Zuckerberg, Founder of Zuckerberg Media and HUG; Constantijn van Oranje, Prince of the Netherlands and Special Envoy at Techleap; and Juan Antonio Samaranch, Vice President of the International Olympic Committee.
More than half of the applications came from startups that had raised over €2 billion in funding, and 21% were submitted by investors managing assets above €300 billion. Progress in diversity also stood out: 28% of proposals came from women, reinforcing VDS’s commitment to inclusion in the tech sector.
