Founded in 1980, the Orchestra della Toscana is one of Italy’s leading symphonic ensembles. Based in Florence at Teatro Verdi, it comprises 44 musicians and is renowned for the versatility and excellence of its performers. The Orchestra is artistically directed by Daniele Spini and conducted by Diego Ceretta.
At Expo 2025 Osaka, the Orchestra presents its Wind Quintet with the program “Fiati in Opera”, a fascinating musical journey across Italy, balancing avant-garde experimentation and melody. From Luciano Berio to Nino Rota, and including transcriptions of great operas by Puccini and Verdi, the concert showcases the richness of Italian musical creativity from the 20th century and beyond.
