OHB Italia is looking for a skilled #AITEngineer to support the development and deployment of high-performance telescopic systems for global Space Situational Awareness (#SSA), Space Surveillance and Tracking (#SST), and Near-Earth Object (#NEO) observation.

Your #Mission
In this role, you will:
👉 Execute integration and test activities of medium-sized telescopes, including opto-mechanical subsystems, both in-house and at international sites.
👉 Conduct optical alignment and calibration in close collaboration with system and optical engineers to guarantee high-precision performance.
👉 Handle critical assemblies, such as optical mounts, structural interfaces, and Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
👉 Prepare test procedures, AIT documentation and participate in night-sky observation campaigns and system validation tests.
What You #Bring
✔️ A degree in Engineering, Aerospace, Physics or related fields.
✔️ Hands-on experience (2+ years) in mechanical and optical handling, integration, and alignment.
✔️ Familiarity with 3D CAD tools and strong command of standard reporting software.
✔️ A proactive, organised mindset and the ability to manage multiple priorities across locations.
✔️ Fluency in English and the willingness to travel internationally for on-site activities, sometimes for several weeks or months.
