On Thursday, June 26th, the Department of Productive Activities of the Molise Region, represented by Vice President Andrea Di Lucente, presented the MoliSAKURA project to the regional press, designed for the Italy Pavilion at EXPO 2025 in Osaka.

A unique opportunity to blend cultures, create connections, and promote our productive and territorial excellence on an international showcase.

The launch conference was attended by organizational partner Sviluppo Italia Molise and various involved institutions:

🔹 “Lorenzo Perosi” Conservatory

Councilor Andrea Di Lucente: “An investment for the future. Results will come in the long term, but it is essential to support the internationalization process of our businesses and our territory.”

A morning full of enthusiasm and vision was experienced in the Regional Government Hall in Campobasso, where the Councilor for Productive Activities, Andrea Di Lucente, revealed to the press the details of the Molise project for Expo 2025. A true declaration of ambition and openness to the world, with a clear objective: to support internationalization as a concrete reality for businesses in our territory.

The message launched was clear: “Molise is moving, wants to look far, builds bridges and presents itself to the world with the strength of its ideas and peculiarities. Expo 2025 is not just a showcase, but a cultural, economic and social challenge.”

“Expo 2025 is a global showcase,” Di Lucente began, “and Molise is ready to make itself known for what it is: a land rich in skills, excellence and desire to emerge. This project represents an unrepeatable opportunity for all companies that believed in the call published by Sviluppo Italia.”

Below is a reminder of the weekly program:

Sunday, July 6th: Inauguration of the exhibition space and a Talk with Telos publishing house and children’s books. Scheduled for the afternoon, the performance of zoomorphic masks with the Deer Man. Following this, the performance by Luca Ciarla and Manuel Petti and the dressing of the bride with traditional clothes by Antonio Scasserra.

Monday, July 7th: In late morning, the traditional music quartet will perform while the afternoon will be dedicated to an important workshop organized in collaboration with MIMIT and DR MOTORS, a Testimonial company of the Ministry of Made in Italy. To close the day, the performance of the Perosi Conservatory of Campobasso.

Tuesday, July 8th: The day when Minister Salvini will be present at the Molise exhibition space, featuring the performance of the Perosi Conservatory, B2B meetings with companies, and the performance of Maestro Luca Ciarla, closing with the Gala Dinner.

Wednesday, July 9th: Will open with a seminar on the textile sector “From Traditional Molise Clothing to Sustainable Fashion: Fibers, Techniques and Innovation” which will trace a bridge between Molise and Japan, with the presence of AiKa Okochi, a young woman, mother, and entrepreneur who produces Kimono by recovering ancient fabrics. The program will then continue with other musical and folkloric moments.

Thursday, July 10th: Will open with the interdisciplinary seminar by the University of Molise: “Road Towards Future” and will continue the day with musical moments by Maestro Ciarla and Manuel Petti, performances of zoomorphic masks and closing with the Gala Dinner with Molise chefs at the Italian Embassy in Tokyo and with the performance of the Perosi Conservatory of Campobasso.

Friday, July 11th: In the morning, artisan workshops with wheat and lace will be held. In the afternoon, traditional music moments and the performance of the Perosi Conservatory are planned.

Saturday, July 12th: Closing of the calendar with musical and folkloric events.

Throughout the entire week, Molise handicraft products will be displayed, with the presence of the artisans themselves whom visitors will be able to admire while working on their creations.

This program will be enriched by the exhibition of artistic artifacts of great value and suggestive moments that will be communicated from time to time.
