After a meaningful and enriching chapter at Hospital Universitario Quirón Dexeus, where we have proudly served over the past five years, we have made the decision to step away from the hospital setting and begin an exciting new journey.
Área Oftalmológica Avanzada will open its own dedicated center, with the aim of providing more personalized, accessible, and patient-centered care. Advances in medical science—particularly in genetics, epigenetics, and nutrition—are equipping us with powerful new tools to deliver more predictive, effective, and tailored treatments. The growing recognition of nutrition’s role in eye health further strengthens our commitment to a holistic and integrative approach to ophthalmology.
Guided by this vision, we are moving into a state-of-the-art facility designed to uphold the highest standards of care and innovation. Dr. Carlos Vergés will continue to lead this initiative with unwavering dedication, supported by a skilled and compassionate team that approaches ophthalmology with empathy, respect, and a deep commitment to individualized care.
