Thanks to this prestigious partnership, Valtur further enriches its naturalistic and astronomical dissemination program, creatively deepening themes related to sustainability.
Defining a new perimeter of the tourist experience, where personal desires can find the ideal place to be satisfied, in harmony with the reference context: following this vision, the Valtur brand, since its acquisition by the Nicolaus Group in 2018, one of the most important tourist groups in Italy, has placed sustainability and environmental and social awareness among the pillars of its value system.
This orientation translates not only into concrete operational choices — waste reduction, elimination of plastic, use of renewable energies, enhancement of local resources, respectful and reciprocal interaction with host communities — but also in the desire to generate cultural value and environmental awareness to share with guests.
In line with this approach, the brand has decided to take a significant step forward with Valtur Discovery, the naturalistic and astronomical dissemination program, created with the involvement of qualified professionals and designed to offer educational and engaging experiences within a selection of Valtur resorts.
A partnership that opens new perspectives on sustainability
This summer, in fact, the activity is carried out in collaboration with the World Sustainability Foundation, a foundation recognised for its commitment to biodiversity protection and the promotion of sustainable practices at an international level.
“The knowledge and respect of the host ecosystem, in all its richness and generosity, combined with the promotion of responsible tourism practices, represent the cornerstones of the project and the sustainable vision of the Valtur brand and the entire Nicolaus Group. We are very proud, therefore, to have managed to activate a partnership we particularly cared about, such as the one with the World Sustainability Foundation,” comments Roberto Pagliara, President of the Nicolaus Group.
Thanks to the sharing of common principles and objectives, the program further deepens, with creativity, irony, and captivating storytelling for all ages, the contents of experiential workshops for adults and children; astronomical observations and training moments designed to bring guests closer to the knowledge of the local ecosystem, a heritage to which Valtur pays the utmost attention with the aim of creating tourism that opens the doors of the resorts as an invitation to discover the territories by guests and as a transversal contribution to local economies.
Key tools for environmentally friendly tourism and local communities
Precious key tools that will be shared with all guests also in support of these activities, the two documents drawn up by the World Sustainability Foundation, with an engaging lexicon capable of conveying to adults and children the profound sense of relating to the planet and all its inhabitants with respect and attention to details that can make a difference: the Manifesto of the Sustainable Tourist, a clear and immediate guide to adopting virtuous behaviors during the holiday, and the Sustainability Pills, which make up a useful and concrete vademecum to orient oneself towards more responsible travel and lifestyle choices.
“Thanks also to this new union of intentions and visions, the Valtur Discovery program assumes an even more strategic role within the company’s commitment to tourism that is not only attentive and consistent with ESG principles but also capable of generating awareness, education, and wonder,” concludes Roberto Pagliara, President of the Nicolaus Group.
