Solar energy is a powerful tool against climate change, but adoption should never come at the expense of nature. At Enfinity Global, we ensure our solar plants coexist harmoniously with local ecosystems.

As we expand across continents, we remain committed to respecting ecosystems, protecting native species, and upholding high environmental standards. Sustainable development goes beyond carbon reduction—it means respecting all life that shares our planet.

Wildlife-respect practices in the solar industry

Protecting local flora and fauna starts with proactive planning. The renewable energy sector follows established practices to minimize environmental impact throughout development and operation.

Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA)

Every new project begins with a comprehensive Environmental Impact Assessment evaluating potential effects on people, air and water quality, noise, landscapes, and biodiversity.

EIAs also assess risks to wildlife—such as habitat disruption, species displacement, and mortality—and inform mitigation measures like layout adjustments, wildlife-friendly fencing, and long-term monitoring.

Habitat preservation and restoration

Avoiding habitat disruption is the priority. When impact is unavoidable, developers implement restoration strategies such as:

  • Replanting native vegetation to support pollinators and local species
  • Designing around nesting areas and migratory corridors
  • Minimizing fragmentation to maintain habitat connectivity

These practices are standard in responsible solar development, and at Enfinity Global, we align with them.

Enfinity in action

Enfinity Global implements wildlife protection measures tailored to each project’s context.

  • In Italy, fencing is raised slightly above ground to allow small mammals to pass and maintain connectivity. Natural ring fences using native trees and vegetation reduce visual impact and support biodiversity.
  • Where conditions allow, we develop agrovoltaic projects that integrate solar generation with agricultural practices for shared land use.
  • Site layouts are adjusted to preserve nesting areas and migratory bird pathways, aligned with international conservation standards. We prioritize long-term land stewardship so sites are suitable for future cultivation after decommissioning.

Aligning with Enfinity’s ESG goals

Wildlife protection is part of our broader ESG commitments, guided by:

  • Building a net-zero carbon future
  • Promoting low-carbon economies
  • Respecting biodiversity through responsible project development

We collaborate with industry associations—including the American Clean Power Association, Elettricità Futura, and the Venice World Capital of Sustainability Foundation—to share best practices and strengthen environmental standards.

Sustainable and wildlife-friendly

As we execute our 36 GW pipeline of renewable energy projects, our goal is clear: every plant should advance climate action and biodiversity preservation.

The future of energy must be clean, equitable, and ecologically conscious. At Enfinity Global, we design, build, and operate solar assets that respect wildlife from day one—so energy infrastructure sustains both people and the planet.
