The last part of the year is proving to be especially intense at our facilities in Astican. The drydocks and quays are constantly busy, with vessels of all types relying on our team to return to sea in optimal condition: from cargo ships and fishing vessels to offshore units and tugs. Every day reflects both the commitment of our people and the capacity of our yard to handle diverse projects simultaneously.
In this scenario of high occupancy, two major projects stand out, setting the standard for our technical specialisation:
- Cable Layer: a comprehensive scope of work including pipe systems, steel structures, hydraulics, and maintenance on all four manoeuvring thrusters.
- Container Ship: a large-scale project involving the renewal of nearly 200 tons of steel, tank cleaning and inspection, hull treatment, hydrojetting, and maintenance of the main engine.
Both projects highlight the complexity and high standards that our shipyard is fully prepared to deliver.
With our sights set on this last quarter, Astican continues to demonstrate its ability to combine detail with a global vision: treating each vessel as unique, while keeping in mind the bigger picture of an active fleet and the future of the maritime industry.
